Support us

VAS is a registered charity and an independent organisation that plays a crucial role in the promotion of Scottish contemporary art, artists, applied artists and makers. We need your support to take forward our ambitions. With your support we can achieve so much more.

You can help us by sponsoring one of our exhibitions, making a one off or recurring donation, creating an annual prize award in your name or becoming a friend of VAS.

This will change when we transfer to a SCIO and get a new charity number

Join as a Member

If you are a practising artist read more about how you can become part of our ever expanding creative community. Our membership categories cater for artists at all stages in their careers, whether new graduates, emerging artists or established practitioners. All are welcome to contribute to the continuing development of Visual Arts Scotland.

Non-artists are also very welcome to become a Friend of Visual Arts Scotland. This category of membership allows anyone to support our activity as an appreciator rather than a creator of visual art and contemporary craft.

Leaving a Legacy

Remembering VAS in your will is a unique way of supporting artists, applied artists and makers. Leaving a gift in your will, be it the residue of your estate after family and friends have been provided for or a specific amount, could also reduce your inheritance tax liability.

Corporate Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsorship of our annual exhibition represents a unique opportunity to be associated with one of the leading arts organisations in Scotland.  Your company can have a visible presence at one of the most prestigious events on the annual arts calendar in Scotland. You can invest in future talent by sponsoring an element of our exhibition such as installation costs, advertising or printed materials (catalogues, posters, banners, etc), creating an annual prize in your name, sponsoring an invited artist to create a new ambitious work for the exhibition, or hosting an event within the gallery for your clients during the exhibition.

In return, depending on your level of support, we can offer you inclusion in our press coverage, logo placement on all printed materials, coverage on our website including a link to your own website, invitations for you and your clients to our exhibition preview evenings, plus other benefits as and when they arise.
We are keen to develop lasting relationships with our sponsors and would welcome the opportunity to discuss your ideas for corporate partnerships with VAS.
