Opportunities

More ways to get involved with Visual Arts Scotland. In addition to our exhibition program, VAS offers residencies and other opportunities through the year.

Join the Council of Visual Arts Scotland

23rd March 2026 - 31st December 2026

Anywhere in Scotland

We currently have 3 positions open to join our council and work with the VAS team to deliver our exciting programme of events.

Trustees and co-opt council members are not paid, however this is a wonderful opportunity to gain experience in the nuts and bolts of exhibitions and residencies, as well as having a voice in a team who are working hard to support the future of the visual arts in Scotland. The council meets online every 8 weeks, with smaller groups meeting more regularly to plan projects, select for exhibitions, or gather on site for the hands-on work required at exhibition venues.
