With global warming affecting climate world wide with wildfires and temperature increases land and sea I feel privileged to have seen the underwater reefs of the Indian Ocean where even one degree sea temp increase over a sustained period can cause coral bleaching resulting in coral death. Boulder corals (Porites) are more resilient to temperature than other coral species often creating the architecture from which other corals can re establish.
