Inspired by the natural beauty of her Scottish habitat, Marnie has created this collection to celebrate the wild, the tame, the wonderment of the varied Scottish landscape. From the Scottish Borders to the Outer Hebrides, Marnie’s photography from her Scottish travels has inspired this collection of small to medium sized felt paintings. Marnie uses a predominately dry needle felting process to achieve her landscape artwork. Some pieces are sculpted and others have a softer, more hairy and fibrous surface texture. All are soulful, completely and painstakingly created by the artist’s hand using UK sourced wool and created in the artist’s studio in the Scottish Borders.
