Home Comforts

These works use reclaimed paint that has been removed from a variety of surfaces, both domestic and public, to create paintings using the layers that have been applied over many decades. The salvaged paint is placed on it’s side and fixed to create works that are sculptural, but born of something almost completely flat. I’m fond of the fact that each colour represents a choice that was made in the past and that those choices which have been made by many different people have combined to create the pallets which form these works.
