Landscape, place and plant imagery are the subject matter for my paintings. Intrigued by the stages of the plant growth cycle and cultural traditions using the symbolic and healing power of plants. Memories inform the works which are resolved intuitively. My work hovers between figuration and abstraction as I aim to evoke a sense of beauty and mystery in the natural world and the human presence with in it.
