Robson

Disciplines: Sculpture

Location: Linlithgow

Materials: Objects, Relief Print, Slip Casting
Robson has over 35 years exhibiting sculpture and ceramics, undertaking arts residencies and tutoring. Works often rooted in craft disciplines are based solidly in fine art. Recent relief and sculptural ceramic work, inspired by visits to Outer Hebrides beaches and underwater Indian Ocean safari are wall hung or plinth based using fabric formed casting, slip cast elements in alpha plaster or cold cast resin from bespoke silicon moulds cast direct from nature. Sculpture and wall relief panels are deliberately abstract in nature but always reference the objects and ideas that inform the work. “I strive to balance recognisable imagery in the abstraction to suggest mood or themes”
