Location: Buckie

Materials: Acrylic
My work is immersed in the place I was born and brought up in. The rugged coast stretching from Buckie to Banff, with its atmospheric moods and ever-changing light, serves as my primary source of inspiration. I want my work to evoke the sense of standing on the beach or sea edge and breathing in the salt air and hearing the waves break over sand and pebbles. I’m a graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design in Dundee, where I studied sculpture. Although these days I tend to concentrate more on painting and drawing mostly in acrylics.
