Ayda

Pakzad Afshar

Ayda Pakzad Afshar is an interdisciplinary visual artist based in Scotland. Working across painting, collage, installation, and performance, her practice explores the body as a site where presence, memory, and unconscious imagery intersect. Her work often unfolds through process, interaction, and material layering, focusing on traces that emerge, transform, and disappear over time. Recent works engage with landscape as an unstable and layered surface shaped by movement, perception, and memory, approaching it as an internal archive of lived and imagined experiences. This approach forms part of her ongoing research project, The Coveration of Eve, which investigates the body in relation to displacement, visibility, and transformation across visual and material forms.

Disciplines: Mixed Media

Location: Galashiels

Materials: Acrylic, Objects, Paper, Pastel, Pen & Ink, Pencil, Photomontage, Watercolour
