My work explores the relationship between art and science, focusing on the grey area between scientific modelling and artistic expression. The objective and the subjective are often seen as opposing ways of understanding the world, yet both attempt to describe the same physical nature of existence. In my practice, they operate as two sides of the same coin—distinct, yet interconnected through consciousness. Working across sculpture, installation, and painting, I translate scientific principles into spatial and material form. Influenced by physics and cosmology, my work engages with ideas of space-time, physical scale, non-Euclidean geometry, relativity, entanglement, symmetry, and emergent systems, situating these concepts within both dimensional and imaginary space. The works function as visual propositions that reflect on the structure and behaviour of reality. I have exhibited widely in the UK and internationally, undertaking residencies and site-specific projects including Funkhaus, Berlin (2013); The Icecreamists, London (2011); and Palais de Tokyo, Paris (2008). My work is held in permanent collections including Bretton Hall & Yorkshire Sculpture Park, NAEA, the Barclay-Russell Memorial Collection, and the Tate Gallery Artist Publication Archive. Recent projects include The Stardust Principle No. 2, presented at the 57th Venice Biennale (2017). I am currently developing the fourth work in the series, Organicism: The Strange Attractors, scheduled for completion in 2026. I am a member of the Royal Society of Sculptors and live and work in Glasgow, Scotland.
