Our 30×30 small works section is always a popular feature in our exhibitions, for artists and buyers alike. It gives each VAS member an opportunity to have their work included in our exhibitions, and offers visitors a fantastic selection of affordable art.

As discussed in our AGM, we are happy to announce that we have new opportunities arising for members to get involved with VAS as we transition to becoming a SCIO.

Common Ground is an exhibition that brings together artists and makers whose work speaks to our deep, evolving relationship with Scotland’s natural environment. Through objects, images, and installations, it explores how creativity can reflect, honour, celebrate and reimagine the interconnectivity of Art and Nature.
4–11 October 2025
Visual Arts Scotland (VAS) is delighted to announce the fifth year of residency in partnership with Bothy Project in October 2025. This opportunity offers a Visual Arts Scotland member the chance to spend a week-long residency at Sweeney’s Bothy, a simple off grid building in unique surroundings on the stunning Isle of Eigg, part of the Scottish Inner Hebrides.
We are committed as a society to supporting and exhibiting a diverse range of contemporary Scottish art, in a wide variety of media – including drawing, painting, printmaking, textiles, photography, jewellery, ceramics and sculpture.
