Scotland’s biggest contemporary art and craft market is set to debut in August 2025 at Dalkeith Palace and Country Park. With over 90 stalls spanning both the exterior and interior of Dalkeith Place, this artist and maker market will showcase the work of artsits and makers from across Scotland.

In addition to the market, visitors can explore ASSEMBLAGE; a series of micro exhibitions and pop-up events, and the next showcase of work by the VAS Inches Carr Mentoring Award shortlist.

This landmark event marks the first time Visual Arts Scotland has ventured beyond its renowned programme of exhibitions, residencies and awards since launching over 100 years ago. Dalkeith Palace and Country Park will be transformed into a hotbed of creativity – visitors will explore and buy art, meet makers from across Scotland and beyond, and enjoy curated exhibitions in the historic venue just 7 miles from Edinburgh.
