Our membership year runs from 1st February - 31st January
Professional Membership is by election only and new members must be nominated by two existing professional members. Professional membership is aimed at working artists who are actively creating and exhibiting work and people whose main occupation is in the creation or promotion of the visual arts.

Professional Membership is by election only and new members must be nominated by two existing professional members. Elections take place every year at the AGM.
Professional membership is aimed at working artists who are actively creating and exhibiting work and people whose main occupation is in the creation or promotion of the visual arts. Professional members will be able to guide and influence the policy and decision making body of the society.
Professional members will also be expected to take an active role in selecting, hanging and arranging annual and satellite exhibitions. It is also hoped that professional members will help to promote the societies cause and image and encourage others to join VAS. If you are interested in Professional membership we would advise you to take out an ordinary membership in the first instance. You will then receive notification of the elections and details of the nomination proccess in advance of the AGM each year.
