After years of working I am painting again. I would like my work to disturb, raise questions and create conversation. Currently my work is centred around portraits of women who are survivors both as victims and perpetrators as well as those who just have survived media attention. Creating portraits that have a visceral effect is my goal not creating a photo likeness. Using a photo as a starting point but then allowing the portrait to take on an emotional depth through colour, line and texture.
