NicNeill

Lived on the Isle of Skye most of my life; work in lino-printing and some painting with acrylic and water based oils. I have just started to get to grips with water colour. I like textiles, too, but I am felt phobic, really, it’s a thing. I am trying to make my lino prints more abstract and printing onto mono-printed papers but I miss a good clean black print onto Fabriano. I like printing onto Japanese Rice paper sometimes, when the cat has taken over the press. I am continually working on my Pictish Beasts Series, obsessed as I am with Pictish Culture. However, I want to continue my foray into abstract work. I don’t do landscape unless it’s slightly more how I see it and not how the tourists would like it.
