I am an emerging glass artist based in the East Neuk of Fife. I am drawn to islands, post-industrial coastlines and other peripheral landscapes where geological processes and human histories converge. These sites reveal the enduring effects of erosion, extraction, resilience and regeneration, challenging conventional distinctions between nature and culture. Glass functions as both material and metaphor within my work. Its fragility, translucency, and capacity for material transformation provide a framework for exploring landscapes shaped by environmental and temporal processes. Through material-led experimentation, I investigate how glass can embody accumulation, fracture, and preservation, reflecting the relationships between deep time, human intervention, and ecological precarity. By working with a material that simultaneously records and transforms, I seek to uncover overlooked histories and invite critical reflection on the interconnected relationships between landscape, memory, and place.
