Ehlert

The primary theme of my practice is articulating authenticity, beauty, and harmony. My practice is grounded in printmaking, which functions not only as a medium but as a mindset for operating and interacting with the world. Printmaking serves as a methodology for thinking through processes, precision, repetition, experimentation, and production. Through slow, labour intensive processes, I investigate ephemerality, memory, and the articulation of emotions informing and shaping my abstract visual language. Care, attention, and technical precision are central to my practice not as displays of virtuosity, but as a form of resistance to acceleration. By taking pride in technical skill and precision, my practice responds to the fast pace of contemporary life by creating space and time for sustained process.
