Rebecca Stewart born and raised in Edinburgh now lives and works in Glasgow. After graduating in 2015 from Sculpture and Environmental Art at Glasgow School of Art, she has continued to develop her work through mould making and ceramics. Her work is inspired by nature, sense of place, nostalgia and memory. She creates both functional and sculptural ceramic work. Rebecca’s recent work has explored the theme of Ice-Cream and the nostalgia associated with the traditional ice-cream parlours introduced by Italians to Scotland. She has most recently shown in The Fernie Art Stations group show Ice-Cream Exhibition, and the Tighnabruaich Gallery’s The ‘Michael Harding’ Secret Coast Prize for Fine Art 2025.
