Omar

Alonso Naranjo

I am a Glasgow-based illustrator and printmaker from the Canary Islands. My practice is multidisciplinary, spanning lino print, digital drawing, marker, pencil, and textile printing. My work takes inspiration from the little details that catch my eye in the world around me: urban wildlife foraging and competing to sustain themselves, stickers and messages that cover lampposts and traffic lights, or groups of swifts swooping and calling in a warm summer evening. I also create art to express my emotions and feelings when words cannot do them justice, hoping to connect with viewers through imagery instead.

Disciplines: Illustration

Location: Glasgow

Materials: Lino Print, Pen & Ink, Pencil
