I am a contemporary artist based in Westport, the Northwest of Ireland. My work explores the intersection of traditional heritage and modern identity. I draw deep inspiration from the Atlantic coast. Scavenging is an essential part of my process. It reflects a history of survival and resourcefulness which was required to live in such a wild environment. These gathered elements help me craft “new myths” for our current era. My practice focuses on the tactile nature of storytelling. I use found items to bridge the gap between ancient craft and modern concepts. I create to preserve memory. My work invites you to find your own story within our shared history.
