Liz

Steele

Having been a potter for over forty years, Liz Steele working at Drakelaw Pottery in South Lanarkshire makes a range of functional and decorative stoneware. Liz has always used stoneware to create pots suitable for use with many kitchen appliances, making them easy to use every day. Firing to a glaze temperature of 1260 degrees Celsius means the clay is no longer porous and so the pieces are all oven, microwave, air fryer, freezer and dishwasher proof. The range of Liz’s pots are designed particularly to enhance homemade food and drink. Liz makes an extensive range of functional pots including many sizes of mugs, jugs, bowls and ovenproof dishes as well as soap dishes, colanders and more. Sumptuous oven proof dishes are an added bonus to making and serving a delicious main course or pudding. Rahman bowls with a lip to rest chop sticks whilst also providing a comfortable way to hold the bowl are part of Liz’s mantra of making quality pots to use.
