I work primarily as a printmaker, creating etchings and monoprints. My work starts with the close observation of my subject through drawing. The printmaking process then encourages me to focus on its essential qualities. While I don’t specialise in any particular subject matter, I tend to return to certain themes, taking inspiration from the city of Edinburgh, mountains, water, for example. I am a member of Edinburgh Printmakers where I make most of my work.
