Once upon a time I studied illustration at both Edinburgh and Glasgow art schools. At the beginning of lockdown I splashed out and bought a small printing press to further my passion for creating illustrative work in the form of relief prints, having fun experimenting with the reduction linocut technique. Over the last couple of years I have discovered how much I enjoy creating ceramic sculpture and I have been inspired by wide-ranging themes from eclectic sources – Greek and Scottish myths, Mary Queen of Scots, Glasgow architecture .I love vintage book illustration and am captivated by past fashions ,folk art and fairy tales all appearing as subject matter in ceramic sculpture, linocut prints and watercolour paintings.
