Julie began as a full time professional artist in 1993 for a mail order company that sold collectable items such as thimbles and trinkets which she painted by hand and also did illustrative work for whisky, beer and wine labels. Since its closure in 2018 she began painting for some galleries located throughout Scotland. she also runs some small watercolour workshops in her community.
