Gittins

Disciplines: Printmaking

Location: Glasgow

My work is informed by my parallel role as a seasonal tree planter, which offers a unique perspective on Scotland’s landscapes and the often unseen labour behind its rewilding efforts. Time spent planting, travelling, and living in remote areas continues to fuel the imagery and ethos of my work. I’m particularly drawn to the intersection of history, mythology, and ecology, how old stories continue to shape our relationship with land, and how today’s efforts to restore it might one day become myth themselves. Through print, I aim to reflect the transformations that unfold across the Scottish countryside.
