My practice is underpinned by a curiosity; of changing coastlines and the ephemeral nature of light, water, time and tides. With this long-held preoccupation, work is created in series analysing a single theme or image. Increasingly, I find my work is a medium for exploring climate driven change and reflecting on coastal futures. As a curator, I value collaborating with others. I study objects and collections that provide powerful insights into other artists, generations, communities and cultures. A research-based approach also underpins my creative practice, as examining source material of gathered ephemera, sketches, words and photographs has become fundamental to the way I observe and make work.
