Jayne lives and works as a professional artist in North Berwick. She graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 1996 with a first class honours degree in drawing and painting; and latterly studied at Winchester School of Art in Barcelona graduating with an MA in Fine Art in 1998. She has participated in numerous exhibitions throughout the UK. She was awarded the An Talla Solais prize at the Royal Scottish Academy in 2025 and also gained a VACMA award from creative Scotland to enable her to travel to Shetland. She was shortlisted for the Scottish Landscape Prize 2025 and was recently selected for the ING Discerning Eye exhibition in London
