Indy Cooper is an Aberdeen- based artist, studying at Gray’s School of Art. Whose practice centres around moving through landscape and paying close attention to the small details that are often overlooked. Through drawing, sculpture, performance and printmaking Cooper explores how attentive observation can build a stronger connection to place and self. Through an intuitive and process-led method of creating, she allows observational abstraction to take the form and build space for moments of mindfulness and mindlessness. Cooper is currently working to further develop and expand her creative practice through sculptural, drawing and sound work in response to found sounds, materials and textures.
