Honor

Dodd

Originally hailing from the Sussex countryside, Brighton-adjacent, Honor graduated from the Edinburgh College of Art in 2024, with a Bachelor of Art in Jewellery and Silversmithing, and remains based in Scotland. Honor’s work is rooted in disruption and distortion, abstraction and iteration, primarily using Gothic architecture and Celtic design as the visual language and silver as the basis of each creation. She is informed by a wide variety of visual research, ranging from stained glass windows and Gothic masonry to ancient Iron Age brooches and adornments. She has a passion for honouring classic and contemporary jewellery through employing traditional techniques and methods in her work. Honor is committed to being a sustainable practice and is minimally wasteful across all materials. Alongside her craft, Honor also runs and hosts pop-ups across Edinburgh, focused on platforming queer and female/non-binary artists. She curates a lineup of artists with a passion for high technical skill, commitment to quality, and experimentation in material.
