I am an artist and educator currently based in Glasgow. My practice approaches painting as a constructed site where image, structure and material are continuously negotiated. Drawing from archaeology, archival records, diagrammatic drawings, science fiction cinema and found artefacts, I work through processes of extraction, reconstruction and fragmentation to produce works that sit between painting and object. Research into archaeological sites and landscapes informs an interest in excavation not simply as representation, but as a way of exploring how histories are constructed, disrupted, and reinterpreted. Alongside speculative and technical imagery, these references are used to build spatial systems that challenge fixed timelines and singular meanings.
