Dawson

I am a Scottish installation artist living and working in Glasgow, pressing at the city’s imperial and social fabric through a practice of materials based storytelling. I aim to push the limits of what is identifiably a ubiquitous space by remaking the commonplace with unexpected, fleeting matter, sugar for windows or custard creams as herringbone paving. At this meeting of fantasy and the recognisable, mundane object I attempt to question the status of the ordinary and interrupt the myth-making of history.

Disciplines: Sculpture

Location: Glasgow

Materials: Casting, Found, Objects, Welding, Woodwork, Glass
