Elise

McDonald

Elise McDonald is a Fife-based visual artist working primarily in acrylic. Her work explores landscape, memory and emotion, drawing particularly on childhood memories of the East Neuk of Fife. She is interested in the way familiar places change in our minds over time, with colour, atmosphere and feeling often becoming more vivid than the landscape itself. Golden fields, cobalt skies and sparkling seas provide a starting point for exploring memory, fleeting moments and the things we carry with us from the places we have known.
