Grasso

Formerly a lawyer from Sydney, Australia, I am now a Glasgow-based furniture maker and designer dedicated to creating bespoke, heirloom-quality pieces that balance sculptural form with structural integrity. My practice is defined by a deep interest in the organic possibilities of wood, specifically through advanced steam-bending and bent lamination techniques. By combining these traditional methods, I am able to push the material to its limits—crafting fluid, architectural and organic silhouettes. My focus is on producing furniture and objects of the highest quality that tell a story, both about myself as the maker and about the person who interacts with it; I believe furniture should enhance our everyday lives by bringing joy and beauty to functional objects.
