I am a multidisciplinary feminist artist investigating female disembodiment: exploring how certain shapes and sizes of the female body are rendered unacceptable by societal norms. Drawing from lived experiences of body dysmorphia and ED’s, my work uses emotional truth to challenge and explore body shame, vulnerability, and reclamation. I believe that all women’s bodies must be allowed to occupy and own their space. I work with paper, wax, and body moulding to create forms to take that space and investigate the vulnerability of flesh and the way bodies hold and tell our histories.
