Born in 1989, Sunderland, North East England. Charlotte graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with a First Class Honours Degree in 2013 and now lives & works in the Scottish Borders. “My practice is an ongoing exploration of the internal landscape, where I use a symbolic visual language to decipher the inward reflections and conversations that profoundly shape our outward gaze”.

Previous Experience

Charlotte has exhibited widely in the UK and internationally, with highlights including the Royal Scottish Academy’s Annual Exhibition and four solo shows. Her work has also been shown at The Biscuit Factory, Tatha Gallery, Kirkcudbright Galleries, and Upright Gallery, and is held in collections around the world. She has received recognition through awards such as the Andrew Grant Bequest Scholarship, the Bothy Project Prize, and the Edinburgh University Collections Prize. Her practice has been featured in national platforms including The New Contemporaries and New Scottish Artists at the Fleming Collection, London, and was profiled in The Catlin Guide: New Artists in the UK.
