Avril Scott is a mixed media artist living and working in Edinburgh. Brought up in Portobello by the sea, her work is heavily influenced by her daily views of the tide and shoreline with the emphasis being on the textures and sounds of the foreshore and especially the sand. Her current work focuses on the juxtaposition of the relative flatness of the sky and the heavily texture shoreline as well as her perception of the colours there.
