Petliarska

I am a painter and fimmaker based in Kirkwall, Orkney. Working across oil, watercolour, linoprint and mixed media, my practice is rooted in mythic feminine narratives — drawing from Slavic folklore, Celtic mythology and the wild, elemental landscape of the Northern Isles. My work explores the threshold: the precise moment where the human and the sacred, the ancient and the present, the living and the forgotten exist in the same breath. Figures emerge from darkness, animals carry symbolic weight, and the natural world pulses with ancestral memory. I hold an NC in Art & Design from UHI Orkney (2024–25) and an MA in Choreography from Kyiv (2015–17).
