I have been passionate about Art and Design for my whole life. I started my career as an architect as I graduated from the Architecture department at Lviv Polytechnic University in Ukraine. Soon I became aware that I was more interested in doing design. My interest in making sculpture and ceramic began when the Covid lockdown affected my life. But the crucial moment was when the war in Ukraine started and I had to move abroad and found Scotland to be a good place to relocate. Here I decided to study Contemporary Art Practice and was especially fascinated with creating sculptures. My sculptures represent my emotions in sculptural metaphors, they are intuitive. Sometimes works are inspired by nature, but mostly they are made in an abstract way. Created through improvisation and instinct, my works reflect my inner world, transformation of emotions, and the connection between the human body, the psyche and the outside world. My carrent works explore identity and traumas, inner tension and psychological shifts through the lens of my internal interpretation, based on my experience and theory of collective unconscious.
