Award winning contemporary artist based on the outskirts of Glasgow I specialise in both glass art and photographic media.
My work explores the role of memory and childhood as a means of expression for the individual, group, and the wider context of society. With influences as diverse as Andrea Leria and Yayoi Kusama, memories are reimagined from both implicit and expected forms.
I have long been captivated by the sense of importance placed upon our memories and childhood. The emphasis and sense of belonging that connect us to them seems almost futile and will inevitably be lost in the fullness of time.
By creating new narratives the viewer is left with an epitaph to the experiences we all endure.
I have just completed my degree in Contemporary Art Practice at City of Glasgow College. Prior to this I completed a HND in Glass Art and Design. I have an extensive background in photography (film and digital) and have a Postgraduate Certificate in Education.
I have exhibited widely in a variety of media. I am a regular exhibitor with the Scottish Glass Society, of which I am also a committee member; and, Out of Sight Out of Mind.
