In 2019 Nicola was awarded the Visual Arts and Craft Makers Award: Fife. This has enabled her to become a member of Fife Dunfermline Printmakers Workshop where the focus of her work is exploring different etching techniques and how this traditional form of practice can be used to convey personal memory and autobiography in her artwork. Nicola continues work with mixed media and fragments of previous prints or offcuts often find their way into her new work. Nicola McInally’s work contemplates the intersectionality of process and materials, motherhood, autobiography and landscape.
