  • Biography
Adopting an exciting cross-disciplinary and experimental process, Michelle's innovative practice combines traditional Silversmithing techniques with her love of Science and Astronomy, exploring and revealing the beautifully interconnected nature of science and art. Combining these fields, Michelle is often also referred to as a Sci-Art Jeweller or Sci-Artist.

‘I am ever captivated and inspired by the beauty of the intrinsically interwoven nature of ‘Science and Art,’ sharing the pursuit of knowledge and an understanding of our place in the universe. Although often communicated in different ways, the fields are deeply connected by curiosity and the need to explore the unexplored, making sense of our observations and experiences.’

For her recent collection, Michelle visited the Physics and Astronomy Laboratories at The University of Glasgow, learning from Technicians and Scientists about their world leading research into Black Holes and Gravitational Waves.’
