I'm a visual artist based in Scotland. My work explores how we come to know a place, not through fixed images but through embodied experience. I use drawing and analogue photography to reflect slow, layered ways of seeing.
Often working with fragmented landscapes, I draw from past drawings, memories, and digitally distorted images to create a fractured sense of place. Windows, doors, and thresholds frequently appear not only as visual motifs but also as metaphors for partial access and perception.
Scale shapes how the viewer engages. Small works invite close, quiet looking, while larger ones ask for movement and immersion. Across both, I am interested in how visual information can overwhelm or obscure rather than clarify. My work does not aim to represent a place, but to reflect the way we gather, misread, and piece together experience over time.
