I am a Filmmaker and Artist, born in Taiwan and now based in Edinburgh. As a filmmaker I had made award winning shorts films and they had been shown in film festivals around the world.
As an artist I make work across photography, installation, performance, often collaborating with others. I am inspired by stories of all kind, from faery tales, horror films, surrealist dream, science fiction, mythologies to ancient epic.
Started as a street photographer, I am interested to looking through and peeling off the mundaneness of everyday life and find the hidden subtext and layer. Now I prefer working with large format camera and using analogue technique dated back to the beginning of photography, specialising in Paper Negative, Wet Plate Collodion, Gum Bichromate, Cyanotype and Gum Oil and interested to create work that explores different way of storytelling.
