Julie Parker is a Scottish Artist who graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1993 with a BA Hons in Painting. She works in a range of media including acrylics, oils, charcoal and mixed-media.

Her current paintings are colourful and lively and explore broad themes of transience and dislocation through a playful mix of small figures within abstract, illusory spaces.

She has exhibited in a range of solo and group shows both Nationally and Internationally. Group shows include 'Oleum, Italian Gold' at Accademia Italianna, London and 'Glasgow, In Viaggio' in Museo Corta Alta, Fossombrone, Italy.

In the RSW 2018 Edinburgh Exhibition she was awarded the 'Eat Drink Italy Award' for her painting ‘New Skies’. She is also represented in artuk.org an online catalogue of work in Public collections in the UK.
