I am a ceramicist that is interested in exploring the power and politics that influence the way that ceramic objects are created, viewed and used. I am particularly interested in the way that ceramic objects can influence how we see and understand the world. In order to do this I explore topics such as heritage and tradition and appropriate and disrupt surface pattern, form and found objects in order to create a critical bridge between between my work and its historical setting within the wider field of ceramics, craft, art and the everyday.
