Disciplines: Painting

Location: Haddington

Materials: Acrylic, Oil
In over twenty years of painting I have developed a way of depicting movement which is mainly expressed in my paintings of Scottish Ceilidh Dancers. Another area of interest to me is in depicting the individual body shapes in different sports, where again the overriding theme is movement. A relatively new subject for me is music events expressing the excitement, movement and atmosphere of a live performance.

Previous Experience

My paintings can be seen in many galleries throughout Scotland. I am regularly commissioned to paint both dancing and sporting images and many of these are sent abroad. I am often asked for use of my images for illustration including a book of new dances to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Glasgow branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dancing Society (RSCDS)
