  • Biography
I am a maker, jeweller, and silversmith based in Edinburgh. My work focuses on disruption and distortion, abstraction and iteration, primarily using Gothic architecture and classic Scottish design as the visual language and silver as the basis of each creation. I utilise a wide variety of visual research stemming from stained glass windows and gothic masonry to ancient iron-age brooches and adornment to inform my work, and I have a passion for honouring classic and contemporary jewellery through traditional techniques employed in my work. I am committed to being a sustainable practice and am minimally wasteful across all materials.
Having graduated from the Edinburgh College of Art in Jewellery and Silversmithing, preceded by a foundation diploma in Art and Design, my work has explored metalsmithing across a variety of visual languages, most extensively, Gothic architecture and stained glass windows. My time at university allowed me access to exclusive exhibiting opportunities and awards, most notably being nominated and exhibiting at the international graduate show in Nijmegen in the Netherlands, as well as being awarded the Hammerman award for metalsmithing. This opportunity allowed me to undertake a fully-funded residency at the Domaine de Boisbuchet, France, in September 2024. Since then, I have been employed at a ceramics shop, assisting in sales, design, and the running of the shop. I also independently run a successful jewellery business, where I sell my explorations in silver, and exhbit at market across Scotland, including Newbattle Abbey, Dalkeith Palace, and the National Portrait Gallery
