Having grown up in the Highlands of Scotland, Aimee Coulshed has been heavily inspired by the fluctuating light and landscape she has been surrounded by.
By interpreting the Scottish landscape and weather she aims to inspire people to reengage with their natural surroundings in order to nurture a better relationship with our environment. She embraces the natural qualities and textures of materials to create artwork that evokes a sense of calm, comfort and contemplation. She hopes this has an ability to put daily concerns into perspective and integrate a sense of mindfulness into everyday life.
Aimee is currently developing her creative practice on the Black Isle, in the Highlands of Scotland.
