Jules is a Scottish artist living in Glasgow who uses Super 8mm film, analogue processes and wood to create work. Their practice is concerned with navigating relationships between environment, body, identity and the minutiae of life. Their work is a means of conversing with themselves, to pose questions and seek understanding. Across 2024 and 2025 they designed and hosted three separate workshops around the themes of translation and writing which varied to include explorations of historic queer language, and in 2025 they were awarded the GLISK New Graduate Residency with Island Darkroom on the Isle of Lewis.
