Statement: I have a passion for the role that creativity plays in our society, and in helping build relationships. Inherent to my approach is an active interest in diversity and inclusion, I am proactive in facilitating professional engagement and developing creative networks. Alongside this, I have taught Art in colleges, schools, and many community settings. I am an enthusiastic, receptive, and conscientious professional who is passionate about creativity in its widest sense. I have strong communication skills and consider myself a facilitator, with a drive for helping others achieve inherent to my approach building relationships in collaborative connections. Through socially engaged practice methodology, and mixed media installation, I often employ the use of a variety of materials and found objects. I explore transitions, engagement with place, nature, or relationships between participants experience, I endevour to find ways of expressing towards well-being.

Previous Experience

2024 Established ‘Arts Included’ Community interest company to offer creative support locally. 2016, I founded GOSSIP (Graduate Opportunities Supporting Sustained Independent Practice), which continues to offer mutual support to artists and engage with the wider community by delivering a range of Arts opportunities with community groups, charities, businesses, agencies and collaborators. 2015 I formed a voluntary, artist run, pop-up ‘ARC Gallery’ in Stirling’s Old Arcade. This thrived for 18 months with a diverse, program of professional exhibitions and events. 2014 Established an informal collective known as GROUNDSWELL with critical discussion, collaboration, engagement with other creative groups, and holding exhibitions, include Stirling University Art Collection. 2012 focused on a collaborative project ‘IndeX’ at Whitespace in Edinburgh and ‘EQUILLIBRIUM’, an exhibition at MacRobert Arts Centre. 2011 Perth Visual Arts Forum project towards a collaborative exhibition ‘prefab’ at Studio 41 Glasgow, 2009 Co-founded ‘Forth Valley Open Studios, became, FV Artbeat, now ALLT Festival.
